Bringing you a brief rundown of the very well organised Mobile Games Forum 2013, mostly in poster format.
Thought Den were invited (along with Bristol gaming stalwart Aardman Digital, PLA Studios and Blitz Games) to pontificate on the joys of play with purpose. Non-game games was another slightly confusing synonym. Our panel was hosted by Gina Jackson of Women In Games and offered a different perspective on gaming at a conference unashamedly focused on commercial development.
There were some neat tools being demonstrated, from intensive data analysis for optimising in-game purchases through to EveryPlay, a simple plugin that automatically screen-captures the players every move to offer unequivocal video proof of that epic highscore achievement.
Will Luton, previously of Mobile Pie, chaired one of the streams, completing the Bristol contingent.
